I did the mirror thing with the lights off twice. Then I continued reading my 1st step. So simple and so important. Why after all these years of yoyo dieting did I never start off my day drinking 2 glasses of water? Duh. Can’t wait to wake up tomorrow. God bless SB for sending me here. Praise the Lord we CAN do all things through with our heavenly Father.

I’ve always said, while trying for the upteenth time to get fit, that I’m remodeling my Temple. Now that I’ve found your site, I can do just that! I’m looking forward to the 31 days of tips, and I’ve even bookmarked this page on my smartphone so I can access you on the go. Thanks to God for helping me find you!

Found this site yesterday. Took the first step today. Thanking God for this site and feeling that this is my answer because God is the only answer for any problem and I’ve never truly invited Him or asked for help in my weight loss endeavors. Thank you for sharing.

    Hi Kim,
I gained nearly 40 pound in the last two years. My health can not take being even 10 pounds over weight w/out being on BP & HChol meds. I’ve tried every diet in the books since 1st gaining the weight and i may lose a few pounds only to gain more back. I am now suffering from high blood sugar too nad been placed on Metformin for diabetic. The day after THKGVG I broken down and cried and prayed to God to help me. I felt helpless. I came across this 31 day tips and started day 1 w/ drinking two cups of water this morning. I must say after all my failed attempts; I feel a like skeptical but now I know to pray my way through these times. I’m looking forward to TBMT!!!

The best weightloss strategy I ever did was STOP asking myself, “What would taste good?” And I don’t eat anything that I am tempted to eat more of, simply because it tastes good. I eat what fuels my body, not appeals to my LUST for good tasting food. It is limiting, but I can eat lean meat, vegetables, fruit, healthy cereal that doesn’t appeal to my taste buds, eggs, and skim milk anytime I am hungry. I am no longer addicted to good tasting food, and maintain weight effortlessly.

This program is awesome!! I am not weighting myself right now so I don’t know if I’ve lost any weight! But I have definitely lost some inches. My pants are getting loose. I had a set back on Day 7. I got the flu and couldn’t follow the plan as I was supposed to. I picked back up where I left off though and doing well. Now I am on day 10. My question is; can I take my fish oil & MV w/ breakfast instead of on an empty stomach. Would it still work the same? Please advise! Thanks Kim.

By the way- I book soon for sure to take these lifestyle changes to forever!!!

Hi Ann – I appreciate your comments and sharing what works for you. I too am careful with foods I am tempted to eat more of – for me that is sweets! I once heard a proverb that has stuck with me: “The best way to win a fight is to avoid getting into one in the first place.” So I don’t bring tempting foods into my home either. However, my approach to my regular diet is to strive for a win/win situation. I don’t make myself choke down food I don’t like. I want to eat food that is good for me, but also tastes good. So I have a number of healthy cooking recipe books that I use to help. My husband is a picky eater so I work hard to prepare foods we can both live with. Everybody is different though so if your approach works for you, then that is great :)

Hi Amy – Congratulations! Remember, this approach is one day at a time, so if you have a setback on one day, then you can always get back on the path at your next opportunity. Regarding your question about fish oil and multivitamin. Yes, by all means take it with breakfast. You want to create a lifestyle that works best for you! God bless you :)
